Sports is an important part of Indian lifestyle, where everyone plays different sports after having finished their all other work. In villages majorly sports such as Kabaddi, Cricket, Football, are played by everyone. People of every age enjoy playing these sports and among them, youth plays with utmost dedication and efforts. It is seen that children intially start playing sports for fun, but as they get better in it, they start playing it for a purpose. Every sports person plays the Sports with an aim to win a medal for their nation. They work hard continuously for hours to improve their performance, that could help them to secure a medal in competition.

Many sports personalities have astonished the world with their skills and performance. Dhyan Chand for Hockey, Milkha Singh for Athletics, Sachin Tendulkar for Cricket, Vishwanath Anand for Chess, are few of the names which are still alive in everybody's hearts.These pioneers are the idols of the present generation. Seeking inspiration from these famous sportsperson, today's youth is making India proud, by performing extraordinarily in its respective sports. India, where majority of the population comprises of the youth is achieving great heights in sports which was never witnessed before.

Hima Das, an Indian athlete from Assam, is the new record holder by becoming the first Indian athlete to win a Gold Medal in a track Event at the IAAF World U20 Championship. Her journey of struggle and hardwork has become an inspiration for those who want to achieve something in sports. Manu Bhaker is the youngest Indian shooter to win a Gold Medal at ISSF world cup. She is the first Indian to hold a Gold medal at Youth Olympic Games. Another name in the field of shooting is of Saurabh Chaudhary, a 17 year old boy, who won Gold Medal at 2018 Asian Games.

PV Sindhu, a professional Badminton player, who won Silver Medal in 2016 Olympics, is one of the best Badminton players of India. She is the first Indian to become World Badminton Champion by Securing Gold at 2019 World Championship. She has been awarded the Padma Bhushan, the third-highest civilian award in India. Manika Batra, who is the new face of Indian Table Tennis, won Gold Medal at 2018 Commonwealth Games in Table Tennis single Events. She left her modelling work and focused entirely on her sport.

When it comes to Cricket, it is Virat Kohli who is the role model for youngsters, who want to play for the Indian Cricket Team. He is holding on his postion of being the Best ODI batsman in the world since 2017. He holds the world record for being the fastest batsman to 10,000 and 11,000 runs in ODI cricket. He received the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award in 2018. Mithali Raj and Harmanpreet kaur are the names of two best female batswomen who have created various records in Women's Cricket. Sakshi Malik is the one of the finest wrestlers of India. She became the first female Indian wrestler to win a medal at the Olympics.

These are just a few names which are known to everyone. These sportspersons are an inspiration to many who are seeking to play sports in future for India.
